History

The heart of Mexico’s colonial era glows in this ancient XVI sugar mill hacienda founded by Hernán Cortés in 1530. Originally known as San Antonio Atlacomulco, this jewel of architectural art is a magnificent example of the country’s conquest period. Its legends are imbedded in the huge dry-stone walls that are surrounded by lush gardens and crystal-clear flowing water.

This marvellous spot, framed in centuries-old amate trees, offers the Hacienda’s traditional cuisine
composed of top quality Mexican and international recipes.
